Post Airline Travels and Terrorism

Ever since the 9/11 experience the US has done its part to make us feel more secure when flying. At the same rate, they have also started to cross the line a bit. Random security inspections... wether its every 6th person, or whatever process they have. It seems that they often pull whom they want, and while i understand the need to security and rules.. it seems like they are starting to take it a bit over board.

A few years ago I was pulled for a "security" search where they search my luggage and me. The laptop I was borrowing was testing positive for some sorta chemical. I bet its because i had my lotions in my carryon neat the laptop. Either way all they did was scan it.

NOW according to this article it seems they are seizing laptops, pdas, blackberrys, and cells. In fear of child porn, terrorist attack plans, and anything else they can find.
Its argued by the airport "we have a right to look through electronic devices as we would a breifcase" - fair enough... but do you SCAN and COPY all the papers and documents in the briefcase? NO! But yet they feel its fair to make copies of the digital information... there goes anything personal. Now companies can't have thier corp people travel with electronic information in fear of someone getting it!
SHEESH!
