Default I thought my husband my have swine flu!

My husband was really sick for about 5 days. It was similar to the flu, but different and left me feeling really concerned. Normally it takes a lot to get my hubby down. The flu doesn't usually effect him as badly as this did. He had absolutely no energy what so ever. He slept almost the whole time. Sweat really bad, especially at night. We had to put a towel under him and monitor his temperature. His fever maxed out at 102 degrees for a short period. The fever seemed to linger about 2 to 3 days. He kept complaining that when he stood up he fealt an uncomfortable throbbing in the creases of his elbows and knees. It was to the point that if he had to stand for any reason, he paced back and forth because it bothered him so much. He had a headache almost the entire time he was sick and it would be effect by changing the elevation of his head in relation to his body. He really was not doing good.

I found myself wondering if I should take him to the hospital, but myself and my family all agreed that it would be pointless unless it got really bad. There's no vaccine that would make it go away even if it was swine flu. All they could do is give him fluids and pain medication. That really bothered me because it made me think, what will happen if this gets worse??
