Oh I agree, Caroline. I used to go out to eat all the time. I hardly ever cooked anything. Now it seems like any time we do break down and go to Arby's or something, I immediately think about how much more I could have bought at the grocery store with the money I spent at Arby's. Or think in terms of... well... I could have bought a whole loaf of bread, mayo, cheese, deli ham, chips, and juice... PLUS... had a little left over to save for a bill. Haha! Gee whiz!

I didn't really care about the money I was spending when I was younger. I can honestly say that I had serious spending/saving issues when I was younger. I don't think I learned enough or was taught with enough emphasis on managing money wisely or the importance of credit. It wasn't until recent years that I started to straighten up. Now I am recovering from the damage I did to my own credit at that time. And let me tell you, that is not easy to recover from.

We have actually elected to drop cable television to save money. Cut back to the cheaper cell phone plan. I use the water from my dehumidifier to water my plants now. And if I don't finish my glass of water, I put it in the dog's water bowl. Haha! Trying to conserve as much as possible now days.
