Should it be done?

All through highschool and college I have wrote many many many papers on how animal testing is wrong.
I am a firm believer that cruel animal testing for ... cosmetics, geneitics to alter life.. is not necessary.

I know that there have been medical breakthroughs through animal testing as well I can understand the need for some of these breakthroughs.. but why must all these animals die from the testing?

I know now there are newer laws, groups that protect animal rights, and i know that absolute unneccesary testing is slowly turning around for the good...its just hard to know when it should or should not be done.

Many humans are giving thier bodies to science now.. after they die... for these exact reasons... I am hoping technology and our society can both advance in the right ways to put an end to animal testing

Oh goodness, yes! I agree. That sort of thing sickens me. I happened to discover a part of the PETA website that is now burned in my memory for life. I don't know if it's still on there or not, but it was a media section about investigations they have done. There were videos of animal testing and animal abuse. It was horrid, but I couldn't look away. It killed me, but still... I couldn't look away. I had to know.

There were scenes of monkeys, rabbits, rats, mice, dogs, pigs, you name it... gone crazy from being locked in tiny cages with nothing to interact with, infections, illness, intentionally inflicted wounds, strange appratus' painfully attached to them, rotting food, standing in urine and fesces. Oh it was a nightmare. The things I have seen have really made me sickened about who we are as humans. I have a real disgust for the human race.

Don't get me wrong, I know there are a lot of good people out there, but Lord knows there are probably more bad then good. All humans care about is money and personal gain. We have this complex that only we have any sort of concept of suffering and that only WE are entitled to choose whether or not we suffer. We believe animals are dumb and have no feelings. I feel that is so WRONG. You know **** well that those animals feel the pain. They feel the suffering. They feel that natural urge to be out in the wild doing what they were meant to do. I couldn't imagine a life locked in a tiny painful cage where I can't hardly move, being man-handled by a creature I know nothing about, and having horrid painful nightmarish things done to my body. Eating disgusting food, being deprived of what nature intended, and living that life (if you want to call it that), until I die. I just couldn't imagine.

I can't even adequately express how upsetting this **** is. I think the people that partake in this behavior, should suffer the same fate. They should feel what they are forcing onto other beings.

I would hope it doesn't get any more out of hand.

I don't want to see any experiments on anymore monkeys.
