Question How safe is toothpaste & mouthwash?

So I have been wondering about this for some time now. I suppose I could do some research, but I just haven't had time.

So nearly everyone brushes their teeth and a lot of people also use mouthwash on a regular basis. I have looked at the ingredients on the back of the packaging and wondered... is this really safe? I mean, of course we aren't swallowing large amounts of it, but we are swallowing small amount and also absorbing it through the tissue in our mouths. How do we really know that long term exposure couldn't be bad for us?

Just a thought. What do you think?

Don't use mouthwash, yuck.

Don't use any toothpaste that has fluoride in it, since it causes cancer and other nasties when accumulated over time.

Buy non fluoride baking soda toothpaste. Tom's is a great brand.
