Default Pass of stimulus bill causes stock market drop?

It's interesting to me that shortly after the first passing of the US stimulus bill the news reported a significant drop in the stock market. Where is the logic in this? Doesn't the American people and the world realize that the only way we are going to recover and improve our economy is to have faith and allow time for these things to prove themselves? Don't people realize that the more you pull out of your stocks, the more you are going to hurt the economy. I realize that you need to be careful and pull out if need be, but I think people are jumping the gun. People are going about it the wrong way because everyone is afraid to lose out. This economy is not going to improve unless we all bite the bullet and do what we can to contribute to the economy.
