Feed the starving children?

Let's look at all the starving children ads we see here for other countries. Send your money here, send it there. Put food in this childs belly. For what?? So it can live long enough to contribute more babies to the problem? I see these documentaries with the people living in absolute filth and horrid conditions. Babies laying on the ground starving, covered in flies. Why?? Because they don't have the common sense to clean up after themselves, move some place where they can be productive, where they can actually grow some food, and STOP MAKING BABIES!!! It's like all their natural sense of survival has been bred out of them. They are clueless. You try to help them and it does no good. I am not sending any of my hard earned and much needed money to another country.

It would be different if you were talking about a country that was once successful, but fell into some sort of econic hardship. A country that was actually TRYING to recover instead of laying around doing nothing. You know they have the intelligence to survive and recover, but they just need some help. I could support that cause. But I can't justify sending money to a country where all we are doing is supporting more of the same behavior. Where you know damn well nothing will ever change. It's a waste.

I guess I am cold hearted in that sense. Let evolution do what it will with them. If they can't get it right and figure it out, then they can't keep up, and we will ALWAYS be supporting them.

The other part of this that just kills me...

We here in the US are in an economic crisis. Why the hell are we sending money to other countries? Why?? We have our own homeless and poverty stricken people here. Dammit American people... stop sending your money to other countries! Instead, send it to these people here who have been forced out of their homes into tents. I think that's always been a problem with America. We are too generous for our own good. We always want to help everyone else while our own people suffer. I some times think our government aids other countries for show. "Look at us, we help EVERYONE!" But there should be a disclaimer that says "EVERYONE! except ourselves."

Ugh. This world just makes no sense to me. The answers are right in front of us and everyone just looks right passed them.

I agree to a certain extent. Never, have I agreed with the charities that try to help the massive starving popluations. Granted, it sounds evil, but the truth is that reality needs to brought to the surface. Most of the places that are suffering from starvation, are doing so because of over-population. A couple that only makes a small amount of money a year, does not need to be producing 5 or 8 children--that simple. That goes for the U.S. as well. If these people keep getting bailed out, they will never learn.

Hi Jessica and I agree with most of your post. Why send money abroad when our own people desperately need the help of our government.
