Half Million in Cocaine Intercepted at Border Patrol Checkpoint
Pine Valley, Calif. - On July 28, a 23-year-old male Mexican national was arrested upon his attempt to smuggle over $500,000 worth of cocaine through a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 8 near Pine Valley.At about 9:40 a.m., Border Patrol agents encountered the man as he approached the checkpoint in a burgundy colored Mitsubishi Eclipse.
