Default DNA testing not allowed after conviction?

Am I hearing this right?? DNA testing will no longer be allowed after a conviction to prove a person's innocence?? That is ridiculous! There will always be the occasion that somehow some new evidence could arise years down the road with DNA on it that could potentially prove that person's innocence. I think it's a load of crap to deny anyone the right to test for that. I think the government just doesn't want to spend the money and they don't want to take the blame for imprisoning the wrong person. Let's face it, sending the wrong people to jail send ripples through society. Of course they would want to do away with DNA testing. Ugh!! I can't believe they are getting away with that. I sure hope the people do something about this!!
