Default "Do not take this drug if..."

It just kills me to see all these ****** commercials on tv promoting this drug and that drug because they are all accompanied by this long list of side effects and warning. Do not take this drug if you this or if you that. May cause this and may cause that. Seriously??? And usually those side effects and warnings are about serious stuff! People really are playing Russian Roullette (sp?) with their lives. You have to hear that, then rationalize... "Well, there is only a small/slight percentage of people who experience that side effect... so... I guess that means I will be ok." What if you are one of those people who develops osteoporosis or cancer or something? I just can't see taking some of this ****.

I saw on the news today where they were talking about a cholesterol drug possibly causing cancer. They said that they were not asbolutely sure yet and therfor everyone should keep taking the medication. That no one should panic. How logical is that?? "We aren't sure if this could cause a life threatening disease... so just keep taking it. We will let you know later if it will kill you or not." They may of well said that. I'm sorry, but if there is even a shadow of a doubt that something might cause cancer, then people need to stop taking it immediately. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Or maybe they want to handle it like they do with Depo Provera? "Well, this drug causes Osteoporosis if you take it for more then two years. So go ahead and take it for two years, right up to the point that you might develop Osteoporosis. Don't worry that the medication is negatively effecting your body in the mean time." Sheer ignorance! I can't even stand thinking about it!

I am glad I am not on any prescription drug. They might sever the link to the spirit world.
