Default how do other countries view Obama?

i often wonder...

considering where we have come from (americans)...

how other countries (the average citizen) views america and the fact that we now have a president who is part black?

i think it's a huge milestone. it's amazing to me to think there was a day when black people were treated as slaves. the whole concept seems ridiculous to me. now we have a half black/half white president of the united states. wow. what i would give to see the faces of slavers if they suddenly were aware of what the future would hold.

Default Better yet, how do Americans view Obama?

I would also like to know how Americans are viewing president Obama now that some time has passed and he has had opportunities to make decisions. What's the average consensus? Is he doing what we expected? Doing a good job?

I'm on the fence with this one.
