Question Protesting in Iran over the recent presidential election.

I was thinking about the protesting going on in Tehran Iran today and the severity of their protesting. Also what protesting in countries like Iran and Iraq lead to. American protesting in comparison seems to be, for the most part, much more rational and calm mannered. I just couldn't imagine American's behaving the way that protestors in other countries do. I realize we have had our moments, but usually it doesn't turn into an all out war in the streets. I'm not saying that I blame them for having hard feelings. I just don't see what destroying neighborhoods and killing each other will accomplish. They just end up making an even bigger problem in the end. But I guess maybe that's the only way to be heard in places like that?

I get the distinct feeling that the government over there would be really sneaky and do whatever they wanted to make sure things went the way they wanted and not the way the citizens wanted. As in, I could see them forging and faking everything the whole way. I feel for those people, I really do.
