Default Who do you think should be the next US President?

Who do you think should be the next US President? Please place your vote in the poll (polls are anonymous) and feel free to tell us why if you don't mind sharing more info (posts will include your username). Even though Hillary is out, if you wish she was president, please check that option. Thanks!!

My husband and I are not going to vote....Like the words of Clark Gable in "Gone With The Wind"..."Frankly my dear, I don't give a da*".......Neither one is worth a handshake....Nothing is going to change....

I love to start out on a Forum getting beaten up but wow....we are scrapping the bottom of the barrel in politics....There must be a better way...TC, C

This is just my opinion and I will probably run and hide anyway....Never show my face here again.....It is called "older woman has very large mouth" disease....But I have a man that loves me so what you say will fall on deaf ears.....TC, C

Now Caroline, you know I have always thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts on WH. Like I send in my PM, the focus here is a bit different. The topics here are meant to provoke debate. I want people to share their thoughts, learn what makes other people "tick", and motivate people to really speak their minds. That is how things get changed. Have to get people talking amongst each other about how things are and how they can be different. So definitely, feel free to spark some conflict here. It's allowed as long as no one becomes disrespectful.

But yeah, I agree that Obama and McCain are not candidates that I really want to vote for either. I am disappointed. We need more options. However, I initially wanted Hillary to win. I had more faith in her then any of them. With that said, the fact that she is backing Obama makes me feel a little more confident that I should choose him over McCain. But most importantly, I just don't like McCain at all so that's that. Looks like I will be voting for Obama.

First of all, I had not seen your PM before I made my post....Seeing what you have written, I will answer it...

Hillary, in my estimation made such a crucial mistake in that statement of coming in to a visit to some base and it was under fire...Then the statement about the assassination was just too close to call...Could have been a mistake and could have been planned....Politics is dirty....

I saw Obama at the Convention four years ago...When I saw him speaking I said to my husband, "that man is going to run for President"....I was impressed....I liked him....He liked to speak and he spoke well...He did not plan on making the kind of showing he did, yet he did....I was just plain impressed by his presence..However, I never thought that he would come on this fast....But now thinking about it, if I, who am not politically minded, could catch this, then his party caught it too....They had a rose in their midst and never knew it.....

So with this statement and thinking that Hillary shot herself in her own foot, I have gone to bat for Obama.....You have shamed me and I have voted...TC, C

LOL! Glad to hear you throw in your vote (whomever it may be for)! That's what this is all about though. Getting people talking about who's who and why we should vote for them!

Even though Ron Paul has ended his campaign, I still believe he is by far the best canidate we have had in a LONG time.
