Default Is 72 Years Old Too Old For A Person To Run For President???

Seeing Jessica said under her "Important Message from New World" that I would not get banned for boldness, out pops the devil....My controversial statement is that I think that 72 years old is too old for a person to be allowed to run for President....

Now before you chastise me for my comment, please hear me out....First, and foremost, I will be that particular number that I just spoke next year...Second, my husband arrived at that same number early this year so he is closer to his new number of 73 then he is at 72...

I have aged and in my opinion definitely gotten wiser....This is for many reasons but they are not important here as I am not running for office...BUT, if I was to talk about my husband and watching him age, that is another story...I will readily admit that my driving reflexes may not be as sharp as years ago and my eyes not as strong but my mind is sharp....However, I do not think that this is true of many of the older generation....When I see McCain, I see his age....I see each year of it plus a tired man....I don't like that...Then I look in the wings and see Palin and it scares me to death. I realize what I am speaking about is age discrimination but this is also a country that needs an able man who will not fall asleep at meetings as Reagen did...John McCain may be fine but who is to know what the future will hold...Each day is harder as you age...Make this a year and what about the next year....These are the things that bother me and what I see when I look at the competing candidates in this election.....

Seeing I have gone this far I may as well dig a deeper hole and bury myself....I think the Senator's and Congressmen or whoever make all the rules in this country should have an age where they should step down....Just because they were elected once doesn't mean that they own that plot of land.....Let youth dictate the new rules in life....Get rid of old ideas.....

With these statements that I have made I am sure I will not be elected the next President of the AARP....But then again I don't belong to it.....You see, I am still young.....And more than anything, I am gonna be me.....

Hey C, don't worry. I agree with you there. And even if I didn't, like I said, that's what this is all about. Speaking out minds and sharing our opinions.

I feel the same exact way about Mccain. I see someone who is more like to start having health problems and be unable to serve us as needed. Among many more reasons.
