So I believe I am pretty sure that I will be voting for Obama this election. I still leave the option to change my mind. You just never know, something could rear it's ugly head between now and then.
I hear a lot of people saying that they won't vote for Obama because he does not have any executive experience and that he is not qualified. Well, this is how I am looking at it... I am keeping in mind that Obama will not be all on his own in his presidency. He does not make all the decisions by himself. He is surrounded by all the people in the goverment who have plenty of experience. He will be guided by congress, senate, etc just as any other president. And not only that, we the people still hold the ultimate power. We essentially still control the president. What everyone seems to forget though is that if you want to exercize your rights to that power, you have to get off your couch and make your voice heard. So, I believe that Obama will do just fine as long as he has true intentions. I get the feeling that Obama would listen to the people and really take our beliefs to heart. McCain would not. I see Bush in McCain. Bush says "This is the way I see it and that's the way it's going to be. Nevermind what YOU think." We need change. Everyone knows. We need a fresh new mind. Someone who is younger and more modernized. Someone who thinks outside the old box. Someone who realizes that it's time to try something different. Someone who is not afraid to try something new. McCain is the old man who is stuck in his old stubborn ways. I see someone who is ready to pick fights with other countries. Him and Palin are too hot to trot for me. They are ready for battle and that is not what I want. I am tired of battle. I am tired of anger, violence, and negativity. I want a president who I can relate to. Who is pleasant to hear speak and gives you that feeling that everything will be ok. Not the feeling of fight fight fight. I'm tired of it. When I see McCain and Obama debating, McCain seems rude and unprofessional to me. He rarely looks Obama in the eyes as if he is too good for that. He rolls his eyes and smirks while Obama is talking. He is just rude. I don't like it. Obama does not behave that way. If McCain cannot show respect for his opponent and debate maturely, then I don't want him as president. I could never listen to him and take him seriously. I just have a bad feeling about McCain. I feel distrust. I feel the same instictive gut feeling about Palin. Yep, so long as Obama doesn't do anything to ruin it for me between now and my voting day... I am voting for him.
