Thumbs down Inmate, Richard Cooey, claims too fat for lethal injection??

Hopefully most of you have heard about Richard Cooey, an inmate sentenced to death for raping and MURDERING two women back in 1986. He was supposed to be injected 5 years ago, but he got out of it on the grounds that he had weak veins.

Okay, is it just me, or this a load of crap?? Seriously?? And people are actually considering this an acceptable excuse for someone who tortured, abused, and stole life from two innocent women? I am sorry, but that is ludacris! I say people deserve to get what they give. I think that getting lethal injection is far too NICE for him. He doesn't deserve such a sweet ending. What a loser. I'm sorry, but that just disgusts me!

I saw this too....I could not believe it...The other day I saw where prisoners who commit heinous crimes are put into solitary confinement to protect them from other prisoners...Who protected the person that they killed? They seem happy as they have the rest of their life alone and free....Then every so often they can go to the parole board and try again to be freed and take up the time of a parole board who knows he will never be free yet it is his right to do this...All the money that is being spent for useless scum....BUT we are civilized...What about the poor woman who will mourn her child the rest of her life and have to add to this the woe that he is sitting in a cell getting his own college education to try and become a lawyer to beat this messed up system that we have....

Yes, I will join you in disgust......Watching "Lock Up" is quite an education....

Default Murderors should get an eye for an eye!

Yes, I am sorry but... if someone deliberately kills another person... they should NEVER get another chance. And they do not deserve to live their life in prison either. They deserve to lose their life, like that they took so selfishly from someone else. I believe that if people knew it was an eye for an eye and that if you kill someone, you die too, they wouldn't be killing so much. Less people would be so careless about killing others. But no, they know that they will just live life in prison. And hey, maybe that's a better place in their minds anyway because then someone else is providing for them. It's ridiculous. Killing in unforgivable in my eyes. Unless it was some horrible accident, intentional muder is UNFORGIVABLE!!! I don't even know why we are still talking about this. That's just the way it should be in my opinion.

I agree with you 100% on this....I would like to see a popular vote taken by each State or the whole United States as to what to do....These guys are bleeding us dry and what for.....They are killers.....So we should pay $50,000 a year to support them the rest of their life while they enjoy a free ride with the priviledge of getting married in jail, which they let them do, get stoned, as this is available in most places....And if we are lucky, they will write a book and ask for the money....

Oh I know, that just infuriates me. Prison should be reserved for people who actually have a chance at rehabillitation. It should only be a place for people who are learning to be better people and will eventually be let back into society. All the rest who are deemed to spend life in prison, should not be there. There shouldn't even be such a thing as "life in prison". If you screwed up so bad that you can't ever be in society again, then you may as well not be here at all. I am tired of paying for those sort of people.

I am against the death penalty so I hope that he does not get the injection. What or who gives any government or judge the right to impose the death penalty?
