2010 First Time Home Buyer Tax Rebate
Will the US Government continue the first time home buyer (fthb) tax rebate program in 2010?
This has been a very popular and hot question that I have yet to find an answer to. Many people, including myself, want to know if they are screwed if they are not able to purchase a home this year (2009). It seems unfair to me considering that buying a home takes a lot of preparation and I am sure that many people, like me, want to buy a home and have plans to do so, but it's just not something we are prepared to do this year. For me, I need more time to get my credit in order. I may be able to pull it off close to the end of the year, but that is only if my current home my parents own can sell first. So what will come of this tax rebate in 2010? It is set to expire. But the real question is, will they continue the program by writing a new one? Will it be better then the 2009 first time homebuyer rebate? It's hard to say for sure. Think about it though, the it was already rewritten once. I am sure that the government probably doesn't want it to be widespread knowledge if they are going to have a 2010 program. That would defeat the purpose of getting people to buy now when the economy needs it. I personally am hopeful that it will continue. As I mentioned in the forum, if this program was successful, it would make sense to continue it.
I plan to try to search for more information about the first time home buyer rebate in 2010. I will see what I can come up with. If anyone else has any information regarding this, please share it here. Thanks!
