Can microwave food steam bags cause cancer?
I learned many years ago that you should never microwave plastic because it releases chlorofluorocarbons (CFC)/dioxins into your food and the atmosphere. Those cause cancer and detroy the ozone.
So I see a lot of "microwave safe" packaged foods and items. Are they really safe and are they exempt from the idea of releasing CFCs? For instance, what about those microwave food steam bags? Or what about "tv dinners" that come in convenient little plastic trays? Do you think those things are releasing chlorofluorocarbons/dioxins? |
