I have been really excited about the new Honda FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell vehicle and it's arrival on the market. I am subscribed to Honda's newsletters regarding this car. I just got one saying that they will be releasing 150 vehicles per year to "qualified buyers". I understand that they want people to be qualified. I have no problem with that as long as they are not only giving them to people with perfect credit. The point is to do something to make the world a better place. Make a vehicle that is better for the environment and makes us less dependent on oil. Now what infuriates me is that they announced the 3 year lease payments will be $600!!!! Okay, the majority of the US cannot afford a payment that ridiculous. So needless to say, I probably won't have one any time in the near future. I sure hope that the price will drop significantly after it's been on the market a while. Otherwise, what's the point? Only the very well off will be able to afford one without going broke. Ugh. That's almost as much as the rent for my house.
